Man Hit by a Car - Italy (Manfredonia)
(ANSA) - MANFREDONIA (FOGGIA), 3 NOV Police stopped the motorist who last Friday night while performing a maneuver in reverse, hit a man, Saverio Grieco, 68, died the next day from his injuries to the head, and fled without rescue. It is a young man whose name has not been done. Grieco was rescued and transported to the House for the Relief of Suffering in San Giovanni Rotondo, in critical condition. He died on the afternoon of Saturday, October 1. To warn men of the police Siponto was the girlfriend of the driver of the vehicle after seeing the news appeared yesterday in the media online. The same would have first contacted a lawyer and then would go to the police station. According to the reconstruction of the two lovers were in the car, they were doing reverse when they hit the victim. Grieco has slammed his head against the vehicle before collapsing to the ground unconscious. The man died Saturday morning at the hospital in San Giovanni Rotondo as a result of head injuries. The woman said she had heard the thud but had not realized that it was a person invested. The two have not stopped to lend assistance. |

if you're a pedestrian crossing a familiar, tight one way street, yo probably are only looking for traffic in the direction it is supposed to travel. i can see how it happened.

They were absolutely aware, that they hit the man. Imho that's the reason why they drove away. Every car driver i know would get out of the car to check what he/she hit and if/how bad the is damaged. Maybe the life of the man could have been saved with first aid and/or a 911 call. |
