Man Firing From Building Falls Onto Street After Getting Shot by Police
NOTE: The actual shooting does not feature. A man of Haitian nationality died after shooting at Carabineros in Santiago, Chile. In this context, a uniformed officer responded with his service weapon, hitting the suspect. According to preliminary information, the incident occurred on Thursday afternoon, when police officers from the Fourth Precinct of Santiago attended a scene after being alerted about a person who was shooting in the street from a rooftop of a building. At that moment, the individual reacted by shooting at the officers, who used their service weapon to repel the attack. One of the shots fired by the officers hit the man, who fell from a height. The man was later pronounced dead. The man, aged 30, was legally in the country, but had been arrested several times for causing disturbances in the area. |
