Um he did taze him and it didn't work. If anyone has a problem with this officers conduct then they are just being hateful to cops unjustifiably. This is a case where the cop WAS justified in the force that was used and he even tried to DE-ESCALATE first, then tried a taser, then another cop shot the perp when he attacked the officer and stole his baton.
The problem is that the right ring conservatives can't understand the difference between a JUSTIFIABLE police shooting, and an UN-justifiable police shooting. I realize that conservatives brains can only understand things when they are DIRECTLY impacted by it, but the rest of the us human beings can easily see the difference between shooting an unarmed dude in the back while they are running away, when you pulled them over for a tail-light, VS. shooting someone who is attacking you with a baton.

Alive for what? To threaten and potentially kill again? The man had his chance and decided to make a poor decision and attack the officer. The only reason to not shoot him in the jeep was that it would make a mess of someone else's car. This man got what he deserved. Also, if you're fighting on even terms, you're an idiot and have bad tactics. Law enforcement isn't about sparring to see who's stronger, it's about having the upper hand. Officers aren't necessarily martial art masters, nor do they have the time to become them. That takes years. And yes, he lost his nightstick. The nightstick isn't secured into place like his gun is.

Good, clean kill That cop, though. I don't think being a police officer is his proper calling. Lacks that killer instinct and has low pain threshold. Should be patrolling malls and have a panic button to push that calls the real cops in.
