Re: Man Fatally Shot During Dispute In Texas

Could that warning shot come back to backfire in a self defense case?

Re: Man Fatally Shot During Dispute In Texas

He didn't have to shoot the guy, let alone, run and get his gun. The guy was unarmed, fucking pussy. I hope he's rotting in prison.

That whole "I'm not trying to replace your dad" speech the stepfather had prepared probably isn't going to go over too well now.

Re: Man Fatally Shot During Dispute In Texas

He won't walk. He will go to prison for murder. He consciously and deliberately went and got a shotgun. He had many other options to consider instead of getting a loaded shotgun. He could have went into the house to get his cellphone to call the police. He could have taken his " woman" into the house, shut and locked the door. Gees, men, their penises and their guns. He can't legit claim self-defense. It's sad.

Re: Man Fatally Shot During Dispute In Texas

Well, kid's dad is dead and stepdad is going to prison. Happy holidays!
And the ex-wife will go out and get herself another man and he'll end up killing someone. What a mess.

When the guy threatened to disarm him on his own property then proceed to do just that, l I would of done the same, not knowing what he would do if he got the gun.
Well, we know what happen when he didn't get the gun.

The external genitalia are that of an otherwise normal adult male. (I was in the pool!)

Would have. Would’ve is a contraction of the words would and have. “Would of” doesn’t exist.

Re: Man Fatally Shot During Dispute In Texas

does joint custody give you the right to violate another man's property? he has the right to have time with his kid but that doesn't mean he is allowed to get the kid from another property where he is told to leave... he can sue the wife for violating custody terms, I don't think he gets the right for trespassing... as it appears the kid wasn't even there, he could call the wife to get the whereabouts...

but yes, I fully agree, that we will see what comes out of this... in the end we are just interpreting laws but a judge/jury will make the final decision, regardless of our opinions or postcounts
I do not see where the property was violated. This is not a case of self-defense. It's a case with a lot of stupidity. But getting a shotgun is not justified.
