Re: Man Fatally Shot During Dispute In Texas
Not enough evidence to conclude anything solidly, but if this shit had been going on for a while then this aggressive asshole is probably best off dead. That old saying about if you pull a weapon, be ready to use it, is famous for good reason - as soon as you decide somebody is that much of a threat and show them a gun, you've upped the ante immediately and can't predict how they will react, perhaps returning to kill you a few days later etc. In a country with guns (and I'm fairly on the fence and unbiased on that issue), this was probably the best (and safest) option for the shooter and his family and step kid. The guy DID move on him and his property aggressively and tried to take a lethal weapon from him. As for firing when the other guy was stationary, well, panic/shock/human nature can cause that. To the deceased... Play stupid games, win stupid prizes. |

Re: Man Fatally Shot During Dispute In Texas
except for that part where he said he was going to take the gun from him and then he tried to. And the part where the guy told him to get off his property several times. Are you familiar with stand your ground laws? Obviously not straight murder.
