I agree. It is not like the guy had a weapon or was kicking the door down. The shooter was a little too impatient and trigger happy. Yes the guy was angry but he did not threaten physical harm to anyone he only threatened to take them to court. The shooter or the shooter's wife should have contacted the police and let LE handle it and make the guy leave. Now the shooter is going to have to deal with possibly being arrested and proving it was self defense, looking at the possibility of going to jail rest of his life, hiring and spending a ton of money on an attorney, name spread all over the news and I am sure coming lawsuits. Should have called the police or fought him the old fashion way, with fist.

So walking out of your house to ostentatiously cock your shotgun before deliberately taking away the advantage of using a gun in the first place (putting yourself in a situation where your weapon could be taken from you) by walking into melee range of the person whom you think deadly force may be necessary to protect yourself or property from, just to get in that person's face and then shoot them while deliberately aiming for that person's leg or foot isn't a provocation?

There's no difference in demeanor when they were in each other's face at the beginning of the video and when the gun was brought out?
