A man, still unidentified, died when he tried to commit a theft by climbing an electric pole in São Luís, Maranhão state, Brazil, this Thursday night (1).

According to witnesses, the man was a drug user and had climbed the pole to steal the wiring. However, at a certain point he touched the high voltage wires and "exploded". It is suspected that the generator exploded during the theft from the pole.

Forensics were at the scene and took the body to the Forensic Medical Institute, however, no relatives appeared to identify the body. Because of this, the body has not yet been examined.
