The brutal execution of two men in the north of Porto Alegre, in broad daylight, mobilized the Military Brigade and the Civil Police yesterday. The impressive shooting scenes were recorded by the camera of a commercial establishment. The footage, taken at 10:58 am, shows a group of young men under the canopy of a tree, next to a bakery. A white Fox, who was slowly driving along the avenue, brakes and three men get out, pistols in hand. They fire dozens of shots at the youths on the sidewalk. One of the boys runs away, but is caught and falls in the middle of the avenue. There he is shot several times by two of the assassins. The third killer enters the bakery and shoots three times, killing a second man (the images do not capture this crime, only the noise of the shots). The shots caused commotion by people who were waiting for buses and shopping in the region, which has a large commercial movement. The entire action - from the moment the Fox arrives at the place of execution until the vehicle flees - takes place in one minute and 15 seconds. The man killed on the avenue was identified by the BM as C. d. S. N, 34, with a police record for illegally carrying a firearm and trafficking in narcotics. The boy murdered inside the bakery is D. A. d. L. P, 20, with two police records for drug trafficking, one for robbing a delivery driver and one for cell phone theft. Preliminary investigations shows that the killers are linked to the Bala na Cara, the main faction in Porto Alegre, from the Bom Jesus neighborhood. They allegedly committed the murders in an area controlled by the Antibala, a coalition of gangs formed to react to the group's advance. The region, the connection between Mario Quintana and the Rubem Berta neighborhood (one of the largest in the Capital), is the scene of dispute between these gangs. Investigations into the case are being carried out by a delegate from the 5th Homicide Precinct of Porto Alegre, who is still at the scene of the facts. |
