It’s not watching it that bothers me. It’s the core of what’s underneath it. The person who was shot, he’s done. No pain, no regrets, nothing. Blackness. His wife and child* having to witness his death, maybe not so much the kid, that’s a very young child who might have some recollection later in life or might not. The wife, devastated. She won’t have another good day for a very long time if she ever does again. The killer, hell, he might have his own wife and kids. You can’t tell unless you know the person. To take someone’s life is one thing. To execute a husband or a wife in front of the other is about at heartless an act that could be perpetrated on another person. That’s the shit that bothers me. The heartless act of killing someone in front of the surviving family members. Kill them away from the family you’re doing your job as a hit man. Kill them in front of family is just being unnecessarily cruel, and, to me, brings a whole other level of human depravity..  |
