You shouldn’t patch it but you should pack it with hemostatic gauze and put pressure. Bag him with o2 while suctioning and load and go get him to the hospital ASAP. Very nasty wound it was quiet impressive seeing the blood pour out as he exhaled. Humans are extremely resilient and fragile at the same time sometimes people suffer some horrific wounds and miraculously pull through somehow.
