The interesting part to me seems to be did he know to target nthe lower femoral artery which is the main pipe in the leg? Seems so strange he went right to the right location with that quick near effortless jab. As for stopping the bleeding well i think its impossible but you would have to clamp off the entire leg below the crotch with a massive thin tight rope to cut off blood supply to the lower section entirely.
