Enough blood must have pooled in his abdomen to regain blood pressure. You see that startled reaction in the kids who play the knock out game too. They pass out and their brain is in panic mode - try to survive, try to survive - then blood returns and the pop up in a state of confusion - what the hell just happened, where am I.
