this reminds me of a situation i was involved with,i had a real idiot for a brother inlaw,his "biker" nickname was "Slug"..not because his bike was slow..but his brain was in reverse most of the time,one of those geniuses who quit going to school in the 6th grade because he knew it all. i knew him from the time i was 6 years old,he was stupid then and still stupid the day he died, my point,he refused to wear a seatbelt,said he was safer without one because he felt if you were belted in,then you would be trapped.so one day in the mid 80s,we were driving in my truck when my pager went off and i was needed at a MVA,well..there was an ejection and the womans spine was broken,she was laying on her back,with her ass facing up..if anyone ever saw "blood alley" back in the day..in drivers ed..you saw a woman who looked just like this woman...and like in the film...she was alive..in shock and paim..she didnt even moan..just said over and over...why me..(heard that alot over the years)..well i took my brother inlaw down to the scene and let him see her.....he stomped his foot hitler like and laughed..thought it was funny as hell.....then she looked at him and asked him what was so funny.............and died......he freaked....stupid fucker......i then walked him to the womans husband..who was laying at the bottom of a 50 foot deep ravine...his brain splattered all over the rocks...and ever since then he refused to eat oatmeal mush.....said it reminded him of those brains.........so whenever i had the chance...i fixed it for lunch when he was there...LOL......stupid fuck....did i say that already??.. |

Seatbelt does not save lifes everytime...Except a rally car's one , looking that car rolling so hard, do you really think it makes a difference?  |

Yes, my friend, it makes a HUGE difference! Your chances are much better if you're seat-belted in. You can survive numerous violent rollovers; in fact that's one of the more survivable accidents. Because you're close to the center of gravity of the vehicle, you're turning about the axis of the roll much slower than the outside of the vehicle. And as the poster above pointed out: the seat-belted occupant lived! |
