If you look carefully you can see he actualy crawls away and it's the thing on the ground that looks like body parts flying.

RIP indeed- he may be alive and crawling at that moment but being that close to a blast causes serious internal injuries, he may not have survived much longer. but then again he's a tough ass amreeki so theres no telling...some of the shit we survive is crazy
