Going that fast with trees that close to the trail is irresponsible riding. Me and my friends don't race when we ride. We go fast when we can, but are very careful around objects like trees and rocks. To easy to wipeout or high side. The you're out in the middle of nowhere and your chances of surviving are even worse.

Don't know if he was showing off there by doing that overtaking action but it didn't end well. even the smallest tree can be lethal.
He was asking for it IMO. It's a stupid idea trying to overtake on a road like this -- just as you said...
