When I saw the first few videos yesterday, I was surprised that they weren't doing more. I figured it must have been obvious that he was dead.

After viewing the video shot from above, however, it is clear that he was still alive for some time. Toward the end, it even looked like he was trying to put out the flames himself when he reignited.

I doubt that he thought it would take so long. I wonder if the thought crossed his mind that he might actually survive and live a life of suffering.

Good footage If I were going to rubberneck the aftermath of this poor, misguided soul and get up close I'd be sure to wear my N45 mask, perhaps with a faint spritz of lavender essential oil inside it. Due to an incident in my childhood and the death of a classmate who climbed the girders of a sub-station as if they were something fun you do at children's science centers or Chuck E. Cheese on the climbing walls, I suspect I don't have the strongest stomach when it comes to smells of human self-immolation.
