Suicide by conflagration always baffles me. You wanna leave this world, thats understandable, but why would you choose the most painful method ever ? If ur gonna go THAT far, why not drop yourself into a pool of acid?

Would be a lot more interesting, if you ask me.
Religion. Fire is seen as a method of purification and symbolic of "quick change" in many eastern religions.
