Almost every nonreligious person I know is agnostic, which is much different than atheist. Many agnostic people are spiritual but aren't sure if a God exists. Atheists are more narrow-minded and make up a small percentage of the nonreligious population.

I'm so happy America's Founding Fathers left England. It would suck to live in a country where I couldn't own a gun to protect myself from men (I'm a petite woman) and provide me with the ability to stand up against a tyrannical government. I also don't like the idea of having an incestuous monarchy receive some of my tax dollars.

As far as being safe because you have a gun, statistically you are FAR MORE LIKELY to die from gunfire in the US than almost anywhere else in the world.. go check the statistics if you don’t believe me.

Agnosticism and atheism are not mutually exclusive. You can be one without the other. Agnosticism refers to knowledge and atheism refers to belief.

Typically, those who label themselves agnostic usually have some baggage with the atheist label due to being raised with it being a "bad" word.

Atheism is mostly the lack of belief in god claims. There are a few strong/gnostic/positive atheists but they're in the minority. There of course are a lot of atheists who don't give it much thought so may confuse the issue or use lazy arguments that does mean they have the burden of proof.

Ultimately, failing to prove something doesn't exist is in no way a demonstration of its existance.

The major news outlets ignore the constant shootings and killings in those cities but overhype the occasional mass shooting, so the average person that doesn’t read deeper into the topic thinks mass shootings are more prevalent than they actually are. Countries without guns also have mass killings from knives, machetes, explosives, etc.

If guns are banned they will always remain on the black market, so citizens will be at more risk because they’re unable to protect themselves or shoot a perp in action (research mass shootings or other murders that were stopped by a good citizen with a gun). It’s unlikely that law enforcement will give up their guns because they deal with perps that have guns from the black market, and obviously our military will always have guns. The wealthy (especially our corrupt politicians) will never let their security stop carrying guns, so then the average unarmed citizen will be less safe and unable to stand up to a tyrannical government that has guns.

Some American mass shooting stats:

Boulder, Colorado: 10 dead.

Atlanta, Georgia: 8 dead, 1 injured.

Dayton, Ohio: 9 dead, 27 injured.

El Paso, Texas: 20 died, 26 injured.
