That wasn't suicide. He had paid for the 2 rupee ticket, and wasn't going to let it go to waste, even though it's a dusty ride down there under the bus chassis.

I've seen plenty of horiziontal bus dives on this site, but not a vertical front on squish... that definitely wasn't instant either, there's a great chance he has survived that and is paralysed

I’m confused…
I thought this was one of the most successful suicide attempts I’ve seen.
He was determined, he was concise in his placement, walking head on towards the bus, a bus that was not turning but on a straight trajectory, he would have known where to lay down, regardless if he was trying for the middle of the bus, to have it miss him, or at the side of the bus, where certain death is.

He chose the side of that bus. That was most definitely one of the best suicides I have ever seen.
Kudos to the young man for taking his life in a sure way, although, personally, I would go head first!
I would have liked to see a closer view of what happened to his body, but, as I said, we’ve seen this type of injury repeatedly.
An injury like that isn’t likely survivable. Even if it only crushed his legs, that would be a severe injury, and would be very difficult to recover from, especially in a third world country.
But, with all that pressure from the weight of the bus pushing up on a body, squeezing the torso like a tube of toothpaste… all of the organs would be under a huge amount of pressure and could be forcibly ejected through the top of the body. We’ve seen it before with all of those moped/motorcycle vs truck/bus accidents and we see the heart is eight feet up past their head!

If this was NOT a suicide, this guy was one of the most stupid people I have ever seen!!!
WHY would you lay down, if you are trying to have the bus miss you, on the furthest edge of the bus?
You wouldn’t! It just doesn’t make sense, no matter how you think about it… unless he did it on purpose. He lined up head on with the bus, he knew EXACTLY where he was going…
