Man Accused of Raping and Murdering Infant Is Lynched and Set Alight
A man suspected of raping, killing and throwing the body of a one-year-old girl into the river was beaten and burned alive on Thursday night (19) in Jutaí, Amazonas state, Brazil. According to witnesses, the man, 48-year-old Gregório Patrício da Silva, was arrested and taken to the police station in Jutaí, where he confessed to the crime. Furious by the situation, civilians stormed the police station and took Gregório to the middle of the street, where he was lynched and then burned alive. According to the police, the body of the child, Layla V., has not yet been found. |
