A 49-year-old man was found dead, burned, inside his house on Sunday (1). According to neighbors, the deceased was Marco Antônio Duarte, a resident of the house.

Residents of the area, who did not wish to be identified, stated that the motive for the crime may have been a video circulating in neighbourhood groups showing the man raping a 10-year-old child. They also mentioned that the man had previously committed other crimes involving children and had issues with debts.

According to the Civil Police, Marco Antônio had been in and out of the prison system since 2009 for crimes such as illegal possession of a firearm, threats, judicial disobedience, bodily harm, and rape.
