A tragedy shocked residents of the Sol do Cerrado neighborhood in Luís Eduardo Magalhães, western Bahia, on Wednesday afternoon (08), around 4:00 PM.

A man is accused of murdering his wife, setting her body on fire, and later finding her dead inside the couple's home.

According to information gathered at the scene, the crime occurred inside the property, and there are indications that a physical altercation occurred between the couple before the murder. During the incident, the suspect allegedly cut the victim's hair. After killing his wife, the man allegedly used gasoline to set the young woman on fire.

Local residents reported hearing screams and cries for help coming from the house. Upon arriving at the scene, they found the young woman (the victim) lying between the kitchen and living room, while the man was lying behind the front door.
