Woman Dies After Being Run Over by Trailer, Husband & Daughter Safe

03.09.2025 - A woman died after being run over by a trailer on Jalan Pelabuhan Barat from the direction of Pulau Indah towards Klang, near here, today. In the incident at 1.02 pm, the victim was confirmed dead at the scene, while the victim's husband and son, aged 40 and 10, respectively, were slightly injured. South Klang District Police Chief, Assistant Commissioner Ramli Kasa said that investigations found an accident involving a motorcycle and a trailer.

"Initial investigations found that the accident occurred when the SM Sport 110R motorcycle being ridden by a local man with his wife and daughter was sandwiched between several other heavy vehicles. The action caused the motorcycle to rub against a trailer, causing it to fall in the middle of the road. As a result, a trailer in front of it did not have time to avoid it and ran over the victim's wife, who was also a pillion rider. His wife was confirmed dead at the scene and her body was sent to the Tengku Ampuan Rahimah Hospital (HTAR) for a post-mortem. The man and his son only suffered minor injuries and were also being treated at the same hospital," he said in a statement tonight.

Ramli said the case was being investigated under Section 41 (1) of the Road Transport Act (APJ) 1987. Earlier, the incident went viral on social media, which was believed to be from a dashcam recording of the rear vehicle showing the accident. The motorcyclist was seen removing his wife's body and lifting his son who was crushed by the motorcycle in a chaotic situation. The trailer driver also stopped his vehicle and was in a state of shock, as well as calming the victim's son.

Good habit. I think her head was already crushed by the first wheel (see first bump) before the truck stopped. Then we get another bump when the truck moves again and the second tire runs over her head.

Any cycle riders on here charge between moving semi trucks this closely? Do you do this with children riding? Is this maneuver legal in most places / anyplace? A lot of third world cyclers don't seem to anticipate danger while riding next to trucks for example. Traffic or road hazards can cause either vehicle to wander out of their path.
