Definitely looks like he's pretending. Walked over quite steady on his feet and touched the kids shoulder, then he looks around to see who's watching and fakes dizziness but instead of sitting down on the ground where he was "falling" he decides to stumble back and sit on the cauldron, and once he's steady just falls backwards? Also 0 effort to get out.
