Re: Luka Magnotta 1 Lunatic 1 Ice Pick Murder Video
On a side note: Interpol doesn't investigate anything, national law enforcements do. What Interpol does is to coordinate international police cooperation. In the case of Magnotta, a Red Notice was issued, following a series of lower level notices. Interpol received a request from the national law enforcement (in this case, the request came from Canadian authorities) then did what it always do: it issued some "preliminary alerts" followed by the Red Notice. In its 4 official languages (which are English, French, Spanish, and Arabic) to all its 190 member countries. That's ALL Interpol did in the case of Magnotta.

Re: Luka Magnotta 1 Lunatic 1 Ice Pick Murder Video
This was a few pages back but I thought I might try to clarify this in case of others wondering the same thing.... If you're savvy enough to use anonymous proxies, I'd think you'd have the mental capacity to use random servers, even making sure you never use the same address twice, as both are easy to do and are logical next steps to using a proxy. If you're looking into this to begin with, I would, furthermore, assume you'd know how to spoof your mac-address, as it's also easy as pie. There are even more ways to cover your track; when I'm doing something I shouldn't be, I spoof the mac-address and use random proxies through random proxies. Just to be on the safe side, I never use a connection that can in any way be traced to me, simply by breaking into people's personal wireless networks--sometimes I even spoof my mac-address to match that of whoever operates the wireless network, just for the hell of it. Finally, I boot my laptop from a micro-sd card inside a usb converter (so I can remove the sd-card and eat it without anyone noticing, if it comes to hat) and run the OS from a ramdisk, so as soon as the power is shut down, all evidence of what I was doing is lost forever. The laptop actually has two operating systems installed on its hdd; both are encrypted with 256-bit AES, one of them is on a hidden partition and neither of them contains anything illegal--again, just for the heck of it. Sorry, I'll stop now... |
