Luisito Pineda Buenaventura, 55, died by suicide on January 4, 2024, at Virgin's Well, a pilgrimage site in Barangay Pugaro, Manaoag, Pangasinan, Philippines. He was a mechanic from Barangay Botao in Santa Barbara, Pangasinan.

A caretaker noticed an unattended motorcycle in the parking area and searched for its owner, finding Buenaventura's burned body in a grassy, wooded area. Police recovered a cellphone containing a video he had recorded at about 11:42 a.m. The recording shows him speaking to the camera before setting the phone down and setting himself on fire. A municipal health officer conducted a post-mortem examination.
