Lost His Foot on the Train Tracks and died later on

A teenager died after his right leg was mutilated around 5 pm Friday in an accident involving a train in the West Zone of Rio. The young man, identified as R M. , according to new witness information was trying to get hold of in the wagon of a moving train, outside the composition, when he got off balance and fell between the train and the platform. He had part of the amputated limb, got on the rail line and was then taken to the platform.

According to witnesses, R. died at the scene after waiting for help. His body would have remained on the platform for at least three hours after the accident. "The young man was not rescued and he died. By 20:00 at night, the body was still there," a witness told Social Networks. "There was no rescue, 45 minutes after the accident nothing. The anbulance arrived at 8pm at night, he was still here," someone else reported.
