It was a sad day for mankind because it showed that even in the 21st century people still suffer and die over a warped notion of God; and that 21st-century technology and advances in science are still not enough to curb the virulent proliferation of ignorant, backwards, 13th-century beliefs. Decrying the Bush administration or America wouldn't make a difference to radical Islamists. They would cut your head off just as sure as they would mine because YOUR GOD ISN'T THE SAME AS THEIRS. I don't condone or endorse the actions of the Bush administration, nor do I condone or endorse the actions of any administration from Johnson forward. But confusing our corrupt government with the rank-and-file citizens that have very little control over their political "leaders" is reactionary and counter-productive. If they had crashed planes into the White House and the Chamber of Congress, I could understand. Hell, I would have considered it a good thing. But these were office workers and bankers. Assholes and infidels, maybe, but not military or political personnel. How do their deaths do anything other than enrage the populace and traumatize the witnesses and survivors of the victims? They were just making a living and paying their taxes, and playing by the rules that separate civilized 1st-world society from 3rd-world shit-hole city-states.

So we supported the mujahideen against the Soviets in Afghanistan. So we stationed troops in Saudi Arabia AT THE INVITATION OF THE HOUSE OF SAUD ITSELF. And so on and so forth. But how does that justify the actions of radical Islam? Hint: it doesn't.

At least the war in Iraq was started over money. I can see money. I can touch money. I know it exists. Can anyone say the same about Allah?

I was stationed in upstate New York when this happened. Never understood why they would mess with innocent people. We were the ones that were going to fuck them up, so why not fly the extra 35 minutes north and take us out?

Within a matter of hours the post was locked down. By the end of the week wives and girlfriends were tearfully watching entire Infantry units disappear to "an undisclosed location."

good work bill.the hell with the haters.seeing the video of the mist was cool but the one with the sound.....damn...and a moment before earing a firefighter or somebody say "look at that" brings it home.I'd guess a lot of ppl saw that.saw lots of bodies hit,I remember footage from that day of mayor juliani(sp?) going around in one of the towers lobbys with a camera crew and every few seconds it seemed would hear that sickening sound of a body hitting.It got replayed once late that eve but never again,.
Ive worked in a couple ER's and seen what happens when a body falls even just a couple hundred feet from a cell tower.what the ems bring to hospital was a mess of guts and broken limbs,split skull ect.very little blood tho.I thought odd.ems guy say it got sprayed everywhere he hit the ground.
ppl are still gonna be dissecting this even for 50 yrs just as they still do the jfk thing.

I think this picture was taken by the FDNY, but I'm not sure. It was taken after the first plane hit, and about 3 minutes before United 175 slammed the South Tower.

I was watching different videos one night to see what all I could see, and I heard the ping before I saw the person explode. Knowing what the sound was, I rewind end the video and saw it. That sound is unmistakeable. Then again, so is the body turning into atomized particles before your eyes.
