Would have been a triple if he kept pace, there were 3 strikes. If he had been between the 2 casualties, yikes... Instead, he got front row seats to whatever that pink mist was and caught who knows what. |

Curious how the lightning doesn't seem much bigger from close distance than what you see from far away. Weird optical illusion.

The closest I ever came to being strike by lightning was when my collie was outside in a large, enclosed, screened-in shed attached to our house. A huge bolt of lightning hit the shed with a deafening crash (I was inside but only about 10' away). My dog screamed and whimpered continuously and I was convinced he was struck and fatally injured but when I opened the shed door he crawled into the house on his joints nearly paralyzed with terror. Awww, poor puppy (though he was about 7). Lightning bolts and fireworks are the two things a dog most DOESN'T want to be near.
