In ours, we never went barefoot. Our canals have broken glass, dead animals, you name it, it's in there. I came out of the water with ticks on my stomach. When we were kids, it was fun. It's been 50+ years since I've gone out there. We all had swimming pools but the ditch was more exciting.

I could tell immediately when he first got in he couldn't swim, he could barely keep his head above water. I thought Asians were suppose to be smart, why would you get in deep water of you dont know how to swim?
