Except in the January 6th incident, only one person was shot and killed, and she was killed by Capitol police, because she was trying to access a restricted area in the building that was clearly protected by armed personnel, and it was made VERY CLEAR that anyone would be shot if they came in. We saw it here. So, I don’t quite understand your thoughts regarding this comparison… This one was a violent riot where they were randomly killing each other on the street, and, the other was a protest, that got out of hand, where they didn’t kill anyone. It’s not really the same at all, is it? The only real similarities I see are large crowds breaking into government buildings. The difference ~ THIS those groups broke in purely to destroy the building, by burning it down. (Were they ‘thinking’ it would also get rid of the new taxes???) The Jan 6 incident was a misguided attempt to ‘occupy’ the building for the ousted officials to return…  And, the biggest difference is, and ALWAYS will be? CIVILITY.  |
