No doubt. There are a lot of instances of how, especially newer, societies seek to redefine words, erase them even sometimes.
The only one though, that actively actually pisses me off is "Anarchy"--I effing hate it when it's used in association with chaos, or some kind of extreme or negative position held.
It must have taken much effort and hundreds of years to obscure some of the Latin and Greek etymologies of our words. Anarchy would have been easy compared to some others though. Turn...An (no), Archy (ruler)--into "No Rules". Pretty simple, just time would be needed to make everyone forget the original.
But what about something like the word Government? How the shit do you get an entire planet to forget that they are actually saying, paying, obeying, and even voting for their preferred flavour of...Govern (to control), Ment (the mind).

Has anyone been able to verify the claim that Rosenbaum was a sex offender? I searched the sex offender registries for Texas, Arizona, and Wisconsin, and he does not show up in any of them. I did a Google search, but so far they only people reporting it are far right websites and they are not citing any sources.
