Re: Kuwait Hanging Video

That's bullshit.

They don't have the death penalty in the UK - plenty of research has been done on the likes of Brady, Huntley et al - the situation is no better.

The killers of little James Bulger haven't learnt their lesson. They were given the benefit of the doubt and released back into society. One of them has been found to have been in possession & viewing material that is deemed unacceptable. With the track record he has, you have to ask why would he do that?

Save the taxpayer from keeping the vermin alive - it's not a case of compassion. They, by committing the crimes they have, deserve to forfeit their right to live.

Each to his viewpoint - but yours I don't agree with. The fuckers need to be taken out for the greater good of society.
True, they don't have the death penalty in the UK and people do re-offend. But that's not the point I'm making. It does confirm that the systems we already have in place do not work.

Asking the question "why did he do that?" is a great start. Much better than simply saying, "OK, you did this, now you must pay".

Compassion is always more healthy than anger. Having a death penalty totally ignores the problem of free will and the surrounding environmental factors that influence our behaviours. It also teaches that killing people is acceptable when you feel it is justified to do so. The funny thing is, the people who commit the crimes felt very similar, which is what allowed them to carry out their crimes in the first place.

As for saving money by killing them, it depends how. In USA it costs more to execute a criminal than it does to keep them locked up for life. Yet people still cry out for the death penalty and cite saving money as being a main concern.

Re: Kuwait Hanging Video

my friend is psychic and could read their minds. (weird how she read them in English when I bet they were thinking in their own language.
