I’m not a ‘snowflake’ either! I’m a strong supporter of fire and police efforts! I believe in the right to bear arms... But I am also human. I see things go down like this and think to myself ‘There has to be a better way.’

I think the point was that there are other, non-lethal options they could have at hand for these type situations. Rubber bullets being one, stun shields another... In this situation, I do believe they could have used a tranquilizer effectively, dose him at the start when he’s still across the room, then just wait.
It’s unfortunate the man wasn’t having a great day, but I don’t believe he did anything that warrants death either. Too bad it ended that way.
Too many social issues involved to start a discussion here. It’s constantly being played out in the media, I won’t continue to rehash it here.

It's like some people are too dumb to watch a movie and recap what happened! but in the end they still know it all better and how it should be done...

@ at folks saying they should have used tranquilizers. Tranquilizers are weight-specific in their effective/non-lethal dosage. Too little has no effect, too much kills the target, and the margin for error can be fairly slim.

It ain't Hollywood, folks.

I think it was justified to shoot him from the get go. You don't come at an officer with a deadly weapon. I commend them for trying to avoid lethal force, but I think it put them in needless danger.
