Kerala: Wrong Place, Wrong Time For Biker & Pillion Rider
An accident occurred on April 16 in Thamarassery, Kerala, resulting in the death of a 20-year-old motorcyclist and injuries to his friend. The deceased, identified as Abhinav from Malappuram district, was riding with 21-year-old Aneesh when a boulder dislodged by recent rains rolled down a hill and struck their motorcycle on the Thamarassery ghat road. The incident, captured on video by another motorcyclist, occurred as Abhinav and Aneesh navigated a series of hairpin bends. Despite Abhinav's use of a helmet, the sudden impact of the boulder forced both riders off the road and into a ravine below. Aneesh, who was not wearing a helmet, survived but sustained serious injuries and is currently receiving medical attention at Kozhikode medical college hospital. Authorities report that the two men were part of a six-person group traveling to Wayanad. The boulder, which fell nearly 200 feet, was likely dislodged by a tree that had fallen due to recent rainfall. Emergency responders transported both victims to the hospital, where Abhinav was pronounced dead. |

Reports from the scene confirm that while the rider was stoned, after the accident he was only boulder.

If they hadn’t been in such a fucking HURRY they would have missed the rock and still be alive. So I guess speeding isn’t such a BAD thing after all.
