Jumping from 11th Floor
August 8, 2020, Bohumín, Czech Republic: Eleven dead, including children, were requested by today's fire on the 11th floor of a house in Nerudova Street in Bohumín. Three adults and three children died directly in the burning apartment. Another five people were killed by jumping while escaping a spreading fire. They were members of one gipsy family. He allegedly founded an 50 years old man as a solution to neighborhood disputes - he was not a resident of a burning apartment and allegedly used gasoline. Police detained him on the spot and took him away in handcuffs. The event was announced at 17:49, at 17:54 the first unit was already on the spot. It took only a few tens of seconds to inflate the firefighter's rescue mattress. Ten people were also injured in the fire, and two firefighters and a police officer were injured |

Re: Jumping from 11th Floor
yes. probably. either way tho it is the perfect example of a suicidal mind. sometimes the flames become too much to bare so you got to escape. maybe help would have come, maybe you would have burned to death, who knows. but instead you decided to take that plunge into the abyss... into that fresh air. that open sky. freedom. other option was to probably burn alive so it can be a tough choice. |

Re: Jumping from 11th Floor
My kids have asked the same thing about the jumpers on 9/11. I said that since death is a certainty, God sould forgive them for choosing their manner of death to end their suffering. But I can see it as suicide as well. Either way, this sucks. Horrible situation. The firefighters are getting water on the fire. You can see the hose streams coming out the windows on the left. Unrelated, I always wondered why Matchbox and Hotwheel cars and their knock offs had weird looking fire trucks. TIL, they are based on actual Chinese fire trucks. |
