Re: Jewellery Shop Worker Shot & Killed During Robbery
Love how people think it's so easy to react in that kind of situation. As if you're just going to instantly grab your gun and kill everyone. You morons keep talking but I bet you all die in that situation, regardless of what type of gun you have.

Re: Jewellery Shop Worker Shot & Killed During Robbery
poor guy...it actually looks like he got shot straight off, and then stood up and reeled backwards drawing his gun and tried to cock it but had to get the safety off....by the time he did that it was all over for him...... this shit happens back home in South Africa too all the time, jewellery store owners are blown away as soon as they open the doors or the safe, leave no witnesses.....recently a bunch of robber robbed 4 jewellery stores in the same part of a mall in 10 minutes....they shot and killed a bunch of staff too.... |

Re: Jewellery Shop Worker Shot & Killed During Robbery
Not as simple as that though mate because while removing guns is perceived as being beneficial, it doesn't necessarily mean that it reduces the number of murders overall for they will find other means. Here in the UK knives are more prolific as a means of killing someone. It's interesting to point out that there are countries within Europe who adopt a similar stance to the USA (because while there is EU legislation regarding firearms, the UK for example has the toughest laws in the world). Sweden and especially Switzerland have a lower homicide rate per 100k inhabitants compared to the UK, but their gun laws are very liberal compared to the rest of Europe. So whilst they have access to guns, it doesn't automatically mean that it can be attributed to a higher homicide rate. Remembering that Switzerland is not part of the EU, they have created an effective system whereby even though every household has a rifle or some type of firearm, gun crime is almost non existent there - bar a few incidents here and there. I have a Swedish mate who I discussed this with once, and he couldn't understand what most people think about guns here in the UK stance. There are however other European nations (from memory) who adopt a fairly similar stance to the UK - Holland especially. |
