Manila Philippines - In a place near the papal visit, Two brothers were killed and a five-year-old girl was injured when a passenger jeepney’s brakes failed and the vehicle hit them as they were standing on the curb in Caloocan City Monday afternoon.


Jose, 50, and his brother Rey, 48, died while being treated for head injuries at the Caloocan City Medical Center. Criscelle Athena Medes, on the other hand, is still under observation at the same hospital.

Can't imagine being the parent of a child injured like that and just holding them (limp) in your arms. My heart goes out to the person holding the child. Hope she made it.
