A 26-year-old part-time male photographer was fatally stabbed by his girlfriend at their home in Bandar Rimbayu near Cyberjaya, Selangor on Monday, according to local police.

Kuala Langat District Police Chief, Superintendent Ahmad Ridhwan Mohd Nor @ Saleh, stated that the police received a report at 9:41 a.m. from a doctor at Cyberjaya Hospital who had received an unconscious patient. Despite 30 minutes of emergency CPR, the victim showed no response and was later pronounced dead at 7:25 a.m. with stab wounds to his left wrist and left leg, believed to have been inflicted with a knife.

Following the incident, officers from the Criminal Investigation Division of the Kuala Langat District Police Headquarters arrested the victim's 26-year-old girlfriend, a former medical student and part-time model with no prior criminal record, at the hospital.

Preliminary investigations suggest that jealousy was the motive behind the attack, as the suspect had allegedly discovered that the victim had been unfaithful. The woman has been remanded for six days starting Tuesday and will be investigated under Section 302 of the Penal Code for the offense of murder, which carries the death penalty.
