Damn. I played that iPad game Gangstar Vegas one time and everytime I ran over a person in the street, the guy always says "Jaywalking kills!" Now I see what he was talking about.

I kinda feel bad for the driver (mind you the moron should of known something was up when the truck bounced over her like that). I have driven trucks since the late 80's. When somebody is that close to the front of your truck like that, you can NOT see them unless they are freakishly tall. I always try to inform people to raise their arm above their head while walking in front of a truck. Make sure he can see you are there. If you can't make eye contact with them, they can't see you. You may feel a little silly doing it but I would rather feel a little silly than feel 20 tonnes of metal crushing my rib cage. As for her... well, as tragic as it was, it was ultimately her own fault. |
