I doubt he has ever fucked up in his life and that's why he did this. Sad for him and his friends. Also it's not that rare for people to survive massive amps of electricity for short periods of time they usually get up and start running for help but drop shortly after. It does look like he's cooked to the metal. I imagine he shorted out whatever it is he's touching or maybe it cooked all the water out of him and he lost his ability to conduct electricity.
