Typically before you go out on patrol, a modified med bag can be made. A small condensed medbag that only required the minimal gear you need in the field. If you were on independent duty (no physician), then I could understand the need to hump the whole bag with you.. but then again, I would put that big ass "UNIT ONE" (a field Hospital Corpsmans bag) in the Humvee..

At about 50 yards, id hardly call this "sniping". This is nothing more than a cowardly ambush most likely by someone wearing civi clothing...

Also, im betting this is an AK-47 which is why they have to be so close, those things have crap accuracy. The AK platform will never be a "sniper" platform...
