-There are countless videos on youtube of police assaulting people that turned out to be completely innocent. Some of those people were simply walking down the street and were assaulted by cops because they were mistaken for a suspect.

To rebute you, I would assume that the police are assaulted on pretty much a daily basis. The reason it doesnt make the news all that often (unless the cop dies or is seriously hurt) is because Cop hatred and Racist Cop is what sells advertising.

Do cops sometimes assault innocent people? Absolutely.
Do criminals assault innocent people? I would gander quite a bit more that a cop would vice versa.

Are they criminal cops? Shit yea, I used to sell cocaine to a few of them and I know some that broke serious laws ( N. Charleston, SC cop arrested this year for 1st degree murder). Cops have to show force and be assertive when dealing with crack heads and drunks. They dont pick and choose who they yell at and force to the ground. The vast majority of good cops treat all people the same. If you're being a good cotizen, they dont beat the crap out of you. If you're selling crack next to a school, look like Lil Wayne, it's 11:30 pm, and you smell like weed, well, chances are nowadays as soon as you see a cop you're probably going to get thrown to the ground, a knee in your neck, handcuffed, and taken to jail. If you resist, expect a more forceful approach to your arrest...
