Women have their babies right on their bunk all the time bc COs are so fricken slow or accuse the women of faking the contractions so they can go to hospital.
I once saw a young lady give birth on the Sally port. It was the saddest thing. The cop's would not touch her. She asked for someone to hold her hand and they wouldn't even do that. That poor baby was born along side mud and pouring rain sliding off the roof. Those, all guys, wouldn't even wipe the baby, not even its little face. At least they took her shackles and cuffs off.

Possibly, but I don't think so. Those guys are usually locked in protective custody, not genpop.

If they are in genpop, everyone in there is there for similar crimes and aren't usually violent offenders...if you don't include rape as "violent".

That said, I never could take seriously, a system that doesn't distinguish between criminals. Most separations happen once inside a prison, based on what happens in the prison--this is preposterous. I have wondered if, secretly, guards actually do bother to look up an inmate's crime, but I expect this only happens in special circumstances at best.
So even if I did believe in the whole correction system's method, and I didn't believe that there should be no laws at all, without exception--let hard people sort out hard people, on behalf of the soft, they'll still put a laptop thief, a serial rapist, a cartel assassin, and a chronic covid lockdown denier, all in one cell together.
Is there something being corrected in that situation? Or anything correct about it at all? Or has an entire system been brought into existence just to feed two people--who have hurt no one, to two others--who have, do, and likely will continue to, hurt people for as long as their hands permit ∞.
In this way, Lawmakers, Judges, Prosecutors, Enforcers, all the way down the line to prison mops, and the gas caps on cop cars, are all fat. Totally fat and obese as hell--unhealthy, ugly, and should be shed, but likely won't, because it's easier not to.

It's not even like any of this is without precedent at all--this idea of making more and more regular harmless things illegal, while making all lawbreakers more and more equal. Soon, to be all watched over by machines. Israel has a prison already, with an autonomous gun turret perimeter system.
I read that absurdly long Russian book last year called The Gulag Archipelago. It chronicles the living shit out of exactly the transformation we see happening again today, only now more slowly. 12 year old girls put into unisex adult prisons for collecting grains dropped from punctured truck beds, along side sassy 70 year old mathematicians, and gangsters that pass time by poking eyes out using ball bearings shot from between their fingers with waistbands like sling shots.

Yes the correctional officers look up the inmates’ crimes all the time. When they’re sitting there bored doodling on their computer. That’s exactly what they do. I have a friend who used to be a CO and I’ve been in jail myself and I’ve heard it from the COs there too.

Naw those were neck shots, targeting the aorta. The intent was to take his life right off the bat. i've seen similar incidents happen and I get the feeling this guy was either a snitch, child molester/rapist or pissed this guy off in some way who judgeing by the reaction already never had an out date to begin with. When you lose blood that quickly wih that amount of pressure its an artery, everytime.

It's hard to say for another country, but as for here(Cali) theyve been falsifying jackets and trying to integrate P.C. with Genpop for years due to the ever increasing size of the P.C. population. Back in 2007 it seemed like every week we were finding out so'n'so is snitch, next week same thing and of course they get rolled up off the yard without hesitation, immediately. I remember one guy sensed it was coming, ran the the guard shack hollering and screaming, lol, they snagged him off the yard quick. So the guards know whats going on, cons know whats up and what time it is too and everybody is paper-checked from the outside(streets) by associates as well as inside.
