If you are saying, with the very general words, we will be underwater in 100 years, that the entire planet will be submerged... not even close. That would take VERY LONG to happen. Very.. long. Only low-elevation cities, and several are large cities, will be severely threatened or in peril. Those cities were literally built - on the Oceans’s edge. And are almost always ports. Extensive studies show it will be at least 200-300yrs from now to where cities that are even at just 150ft above sea level, are in danger. Places that are at even moderately-higher elevation, are safe for VERY long to come. MANY major population areas are at 2,000ft above sea level. They have few worries, for quite some time. Research from the last 10yrs-to-now says we do need to be concerned about big metro areas, right on the water, but not the huge majority of places where ppl live even just 75miles inland. That is A LOT of where A LOT of ppl live globally. ie: in the US, noone in Pittsburgh, KC, DFW, STL, Denver, Vegas, Nashville, OKC, many many places, will ever see a threat from rising ocean levels. Same for Europe, russia, S.America But yes, i agree, rising oceans are definitely SRS BZNS. |
