Indonesia: Aftermath Of Suicide Bombing At Police Station
An explosion rocked a police station in Bandung, West Java this morning, which was reportedly carried out by a suicide bomber. According to Bandung Police Chief Aswin Sipayung, an unidentified man wielding a sharp weapon burst into the Astana Anyar sub-precinct while officers were conducting their morning assembly. “And then there was an explosion. The culprit died in the lobby [of the sub-precinct]. Three of our officers suffered injuries,” Aswin said, without elaborating further on the extent of their injuries. Police have yet to establish a motive for the attack. Footage of the immediate aftermath of the incident has been circulating online. |
