I just don't understand how people can care so much about a game, so as to start riots. Vancouver with Hockey, anywhere in the US with American Football, and now, I guess, Indonesia with Football. I just don't understand. |

I live in USA and never remember an American Football riot or stampede, or an American Futbol stampede for that matter. Once in a while, some American fans will fight and injure / kill a single person, usually fans of the swarthy persuasion.

American sports (including Canada here too), especially pro, have notably less violent fan interactions compared to most of the world. I think its a combination of teams frequently moving and also teams not being connected to specific political affiliation. We don't even have to segregate our fans

This is first home defeat to their rival in 23 years. Honestly, its not even surprising. Indonesian fans are notorious in Southeast Asia for being provocative, sore losers. A quick look into their online presence after their national team plays will indicate how toxic they can be
