Re: Indianapolis Police Shoot and Kill a Knife Wielding Suspect
“It would have been nice if they would have shot him in the ankle or the hand or something to subdue him. But to shoot him down and kill him was not right,” says Goodlow’s Aunt Denise Wilbourn. Hmm lets see if you feel the same when someone with a mental illness has a knife, and coming at you. The copper had no choice, he was jumping at him with the knife out. He wasn't going to tickle him with it. The people that should be ashamed are the ones that didn't ensure his mental health was properly treated. |

The respond was reasonable. I hate to see all this mess going on the internet about brutality of the American cops, they're doing their job, the casualties are bound to be. I wish we had ours replacced by yours, can't really feel safe when cop not acting/taking precautions having a man walking around him with a brass knuckles. Just a flashback of the case that blew RUnet a couple of years ago.

Re: Indianapolis Police Shoot and Kill a Knife Wielding Suspect
Pretty pitiful : there are wooden / beanbag shotgun rounds that would have been ideal for this situation . I'm all about supporting our men and women in blue / we don't just say it , we give money many times a year. The more of this Bulshit I see ,the more inclined I am to support non leathal approaches . I keep hearing this is justified and text book . That maybe true but morally it's all a bit sketchy . In the mean time, we will be having more and more traumatized Cops ; yeah they made it home alive .. All good ; but don't think for one second they are not replaying that shit over and over in their heads . Sometimes, second guessing their decision . Drinking that extra drink of booze taking that extra alone time . Just saying . |

They gave him plenty of chances. Sad if he truly was bi-polar but it did look like they had no choice. If taser didn't stop I don't think a shotgun that shoots beanbags would of stopped him

Re: Indianapolis Police Shoot and Kill a Knife Wielding Suspect
No excuse mentally ill or not.. The use of deadly force is easily JUSTIFIED!!!! Prompted on countless occasions to put the weapon down, with no compliance.... He approached the officer with a weapon in a threatening posture.. The officer had no choice but to engage the suspect with deadly force. No fucks given.. NEXT |
