Indian Woman Crushed to Death After Head Got Stuck in Freight Elevator
Nashik, Maharashtra, India In a freak incident, an employee lost her life after her head got stuck in a small freight elevator of a hospital in Nashik on Monday, police said. Jyoti S.A. (50), one of the contract employees of Dr Vasantrao Pawar Medical Hospital, College and Research Centre, was peeping inside the dumbwaiter lift at around 10.30 AM. “She put her head inside to see whether the lift was moving, when it suddenly came down, causing severe head injuries...She succumbed to injuries,” police said. A case has been registered with the Adgaon police station, and further investigations are on. |

I don't speak Marathi but it was apparently the woman's son who is screaming and wailing. He is apparently rambling and "alleging that other doctors and staff members present on duty merely stood by as spectators".
