The fact that one threw a rock at the elephant tells me all I need to know. It confirms to me that they are abusive to animals and the elephant was retaliating for unjust treatment. Those people have no business owning animals, their behavior toward animals, and women for that matter, is absolutely disgusting. It's pervasive in their culture, they are just plain abusive to animals and women, emotionally, physically and sexually.

Elephants are normally very peaceful creatures, only attacking if they, or especially their babies, are in danger.
This elephant has had enough!!! Good elephant!!! Though I expect they will have killed it after this... No respect for other living beings.

Elephants are too smart to attack without reason. They’re like orcas in that sense. These dabudabu’s were abusing one of the few animals that is actually aware of its own size and strength.

If you’re curious about what I mean: Elephants passed the dot test, which is when an animal will recognize itself in a mirror, and try to interact with the dot painted on to it. Most animals are incapable of this, but the smartest ones like dolphins, orcas, chimps, elephants can.

Basically, this elephant is consciously aware of how powerful it is, while something like a bear is instinctually aware that it can challenge anything.

They treat cows and rats like they're gods, but strangely enough, treat the elephants like mud on their shoes.
